William Cruz Carnahan is a second generation Mexican American cinematographer and Filmmaker based in Los Angeles, with over 15 years of experience crafting visually driven stories across narrative, documentary, and commercial work. He has collaborated with major brands and networks including Disney, ESPN, and MLB Network, bringing a cinematic, character focused approach to a wide range of projects.
He holds an MFA in Film and Television Production from Loyola Marymount University and has served as a college-level instructor, for 3 years, mentoring emerging filmmakers through a hands-on, story-first approach. Currently as an adjunct proffesor at Pasadena City College and Lecturer at LMU.
His work is defined by an emphasis on natural light, authentic environments, and visual storytelling that prioritizes emotion and realism.
